Route 29 takes you back to a special time – when the best candies were made from the highest grade ingredients in small batches, often by hand. You knew when it melted in your mouth that it was more than just a piece of candy – it was an experience you cherished. We take our name from a California road way that winds its way through Northern California and the Napa Valley. Much like the wineries you'll find along the way, Route 29 treasures doing things the right way, even if it is the slower way. We are a company based on making great tasting caramels and sweets from traditional recipes. We follow one cardinal rule when it came to quality – no substitutes.

We continue our tradition of creating each of our caramels, licorice and other confections by hand in copper kettles, assuring that each and every piece meets our rigorous quality standards. Quality products like ours are generally found only in high-end boutiques or hidden in small town general stores, but Route 29 is accessible to everyone through our easy-to-navigate website. We’ve brought the old world standards of handiwork and business into the 21st century.

Once you’ve placed your order with Route 29 you can depend on us to process and ship your order quickly and efficiently. We’ll generally process and ship your order within just 2 business days. Because we are absolutely committed to freshness, we occasionally will hold orders for Monday shipping due to weather. Likewise, we can’t guarantee Monday deliveries because we want your delicious gourmet confections to arrive at their very best. Each one is hand packed, and we put a great deal of thought and work into insuring that each and every package is absolutely perfect.

If you or the person you bought your gourmet confections for is not completely delighted with the quality of our old world style confections, we promise to make it right with either a replacement or a refund. The satisfaction of our customers is our highest concern.
